But millions of black women don't find glory in the way their hair naturally looks, or they prefer to find glory in someone else's hair. Lionsgate/HBO Films' Good Hair, starring comedian Chris Rock, takes a funny, yet painfully insightful, look at the $9 billion business of making black women's hair look white.

Combining footage of the annual Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show with candid, revealing interviews with celebrities such as Eve, Ice-T, Nia Long, Angelou, Raven-Symoné, Melyssa Ford and Reverend Al Sharpton, the documentary shows the black community's love-hate relationship with their self-image, and how black women believe they aren't beautiful unless they have 'white' hair.
